Borussia Dortmund v MAN CITY – The PREVIEW: City’s Probable Team
3 Dec
Both Gael Clichy and Aleks Kolarov are sidelined for this encounter with injury, so that suggests Pablo Zabaleta will have to occupy a role on the left side of defence again, with Maicon likely to continue on the right. In the centre, there is a possibility Vincent Kompany will be rested ahead of Sunday’s derby, but Matija Nastasic is likely to replace Joleon Lescott from the side which drew against Everton.
Yaya Toure is suspended, whilst Jack Rodwell and James Milner have still not recovered from injuries, so Javi Garcia can expect to be introduced, with Scott Sinclair also pushing for a starting berth. David Silva has not travelled to Germany and is rated as doubtful for the derby because of a hamstring injury, though the hope is that it’s merely a precaution and nothing too serious. Mario Balotelli and Sergio Aguero are pushing to be named in the side after being on the bench at the weekend.

Prediction: Borussia Dortmund 3 – 1 MAN CITY – The Germans were the best side I’ve ever seen at the Etihad and with City likely to have half an eye on Sunday’s match, I think we could see a resounding home victory. Goals to be scored by Reus, Gotze, Lewandowski and Balotelli.
William Hill have some excellent odds for this match: Borussia Dortmund to win the game is tempting at 15/1, whilst Edin Dzeko to score the last goal of the game stands out at 10/1.
Nah… We’ll dick ‘em four nil. Sinclair hat-trick.
