Leicester v MAN CITY – The PREVIEW: City’s Probable Team

16 Dec

Changes aplenty are expected for this Capital One Cup encounter. Joe Hart is likely to return in goal and a solid performance from him, after Costel Pantilimon’s shaky handling against Arsenal, could pave the way for a return to the side when the Premier League returns at the weekend. In defence, Micah Richards’s absence means Pablo Zabaleta will continue, whilst Dedryck Boyata, Joleon Lescott and Aleks Kolarov should make up the rest of the backline.

Joleon Lescott is a hugely tempting 33/1 to open the scoring. That, and plenty more great odds, are here with William Hill!

Javi Garcia will be given the nod in the centre of midfield, with Jesus Navas and James Milner also expected to start. If available, Jack Rodwell will surely be handed an opportunity, but it wouldn’t be a total surprise to see either Yaya Touré or Fernandinho line up. Further forward, Edin Dzeko is expected to start, as could Stevan Jovetic following is long-awaited return from injury. John Guidetti and Rony Lopes might feature on the bench.

Here is the side Pellegrini could select:

Referee: Roger East.

Prediction: Leicester 1 – 2 MAN CITY – Many of those who starred against Bayern Munich are likely to feature in this game, but I’d expect a tighter and more dour game than many expect. Goals to be scored by Edin Dzeko, Jesus Navas and David Nugent.

Fancy Edin Dzeko to score the first goal and City to win 2-1? William Hill have the cracking odds of 33/1 for that!
