Soccerex Football Festival – Information

The highly-regarded Soccerex Football Festival is just around the corner and will be taking place at the Etihad Stadium on September 6th and 7th. In previous years, the festival has been located in Dubai, South Africa and Brazil, but now it has come to your doorstep, with all the enthralling events happening at the acclaimed BT City Square.
It is free to attend and features youth competitions, community initiatives, freestyle workshops, prize draws, a legends tournament and many more exciting activities for the whole family. It is a superb opportunity to you to engage with the football community and a list of some of the names involved with the festival over the years reads like a who’s who of former greats: Ruud Gullit, Romario, Eric Cantona, Cafu, John Barnes, Marcel Desailly, Gaizka Mendieta, Juninho, Carlos Valderrama and Jay-Jay Okocha. For this edition, former Manchester City players Dietmar Hamann and Terry Phelan will be joined by the likes of Gianfranco Zola, Faustino Asprilla, Bryan Robson and Louis Saha.
In terms of getting to the event, there is car parking available on site at the Etihad Stadium on the Blue Car Park, which is accessed from Alan Turing Way. Disabled parking is also an option on site.
For those needing accommodation, look no further than the Crowne Plaza Manchester Airport, which is under half an hour away from the stadium by car. The hotel boasts a gym, a stylish restaurant, high-speed WiFi and meeting rooms. The location is ideal for those who have had to travel from afield for the festival and is also handily located for visiting the city centre.
