MAN CITY v Hull – The PREVIEW: City’s Probable Team
6 Feb
Despite his excellent display against Chelsea, in which his determined defending was paramount in limiting Eden Hazard’s involvement, Bacary Sagna is expected to drop to the bench with Pablo Zabaleta replacing him in the side. Eliaquim Mangala will hope to dislodge Martin Demichelis, whilst Aleks Kolarov is likely to get the nod on the left of defence.
David Silva poked home against Chelsea and he’s 7/1 to grab the opener at home to Hull.
Yaya Touré is still absent, meaning Fernandinho and Fernando will continue in central midfield. With David Silva and Sergio Aguero guaranteed to start, the likes of Jesus Navas, Samir Nasri, James Milner, Edin Dzeko and Stevan Jovetic are battling for the remaining couple of berths.
Here is the side Manuel Pellegrini could select:
Referee: Jon Moss.
Prediction: MAN CITY 3 – 0 Hull – The visitors are in the midst of a woeful run of form and City are due a thumping. There were signs against Chelsea that we have regained the appetite to fight, and if that hunger can be married with a freedom in attack, then there should be a few goals awaiting the home supporters.
Navas will be rested and used at Stoke, which will be tricky. Will Nasri start or come off the berti. I think he will come on as a sub. This is a must win home banker, so no stuff ups please. Hull will try to park two bus’s and sneak a point.
