MAN CITY v West Ham – The PREVIEW: City’s Probable Team
18 Apr
Vincent Kompany could well be sidelined for the rest of the season with the injury he suffered in last weekend’s Manchester derby, so Martin Demichelis and Eliaquim Mangala look set for a spell together at the heart of defence. Aleks Kolarov should play in Gael Clichy’s absence.

Yaya Touré’s disinterested performance at Old Trafford has seen him receive hefty chunks of criticism, but Manuel Pellegrini is unlikely to drop the Ivorian – although he could be tempted to push him in to a more advanced role. James Milner, Wilfried Bony and Stevan Jovetic is out, so if, as expected, Pellegrini opts for two strikers, then he is left with a choice between Jesus Navas and Samir Nasri for one place in midfield.
Here is the side the manager could select:
Referee: Anthony Taylor.
Prediction: MAN CITY 2 – 0 West Ham – City’s recent form overall is woeful, but the past three home games have seen three wins and ten goals scored. West Ham have little to play for but pride, so this could be the perfect fixture for City to get back on track.
