When I have more time at my disposal, I will give my thoughts on what is set to be the most intriguing transfer story in history, but for now, it’s a simple vote. hard to see rooney in a city shirt but he is a world class striker and they just don’t grow on trees. if he’s available city must do their due dilligence and look into him.
Cannot make my mind up on this one. Great player yes, but a bit of a tramp. If we are to sign him I would make sure that we have some special clauses in his contract.
Any repeat of his granny shagging or exploits with the girls of the night, his contract would be immediately torn up. Same with his drinking and general Chav behaviour. He needs a guiding arm around the shoulder and obviously Baconface was not the man. How could he be anyway, the man is vile.
The heart says yes, because of what he could add to our team. And just think of how much it would upset our friends from South of the Border. My head says leave well alone, the boys trouble. But he can’t half play.
y is city luking 4 players who r out of form..city hav other options like edin dzeko etc..so why spent such a huge amount on rooney…instead if they wanna sign a big name i think TORRES is a better option…

Honestly dont want him.
He is an excellent footballer, but I see him as a modern day Rodney Marsh.
We’re playing very well at the moment with a settled formation, one that can only handle one main striker.
We don’t need to rock the boat with a signing that would mean our best player of the last year getting less game time, it’s been shown in the past that both Tevez and Rooney don’t play well together and I believe signing him would be a mistake in the long run.
I’m prepared to put aside my intense dislike of his Scouse / Evertonian background to see him ply his trade in a City shirt.

Past his best, will always struggle from now on with his weight and injuries, but moreover money cannot buy you decency. He is a foul mouthed scally chav and I don’t want a person of his character to have anything to do with my football club.
I totally agree with you Alan. I am praying that City don’t take on Rooney. After his performance for England in the World Cup, and his disrespectful attitude generally, I fear he will only bring disruption to a team that at the moment is doing well without him.
I support City because they have a good spirit and are playing really well. Rooney would spoil that for me.
I have it on good authority that the deal is already done between united and city, rooney yet to agree terms. deal will be happening in January.
I hope im wrong on this next one but i also hear from same source within the heirachy that tevez “could” be off to Madrid in January..i hope not
He is a world class player and even though he is out of form there would be a lot less pressure at city than at united. I think though that manc(ini) should give this Balotelli a go before buying another striker. If we do buy another striker i would much prefer Torres as we need someone big upfront. However there wouldn’t be any complaints if we did sign Rooney but i would hope we were doing it for his ability rather than to just p:ss united fans offs.
On form he’s a world class player so you’d have to want him. Look foward to the Rooney welcomes you to Manchester poster! How would Tevez and Rooney play together?

More importantly though United really need the money. He will not go to Real or Barca. So if City dont buy him what does that do to their finances? We will damage them mightily if we dont sign him. Cant believe any real City fan would want him at our club.

I quite agree,why when we are starting for once to look like we have got the makings of a decent side do we have to go and shoot ourselves in the foot and look to buy him. If we do, we will live to regret it and why would we want rooney when we have carlos!!!!!!!!!!!
Don’t think any of us like him as a person but surely on form one of the best 5 strikers in the world and taking him from United would be like a dagger through their heart (not that they have one)
If he is available and wants to come (even if it is for money) then i’d gladly take him, im not going to lie!x
