Lech Poznań v MAN CITY – TEAMNEWS – Given, Boyata, Zabaleta ALL START

4 Nov

Roberto Mancini has made a whole host of changes from the side that was defeated so disappointingly away at Wolves. Here is the team in full… in a 4-2-3-1 formation.

                                                      Given

Richards                 Boyata                    Lescott                 Bridge

                                  Zabaleta                   Vieira

SWP                                            Milner                              A. Johnson

                                                  Adebayor

Subs: Hart, Kompany, Kolarov, Barry, Silva, Jo, Balotelli

    Oh no, not Shay Given.

I predict a rough night, with hardly any possession for City due to Given’s long ball antics.

At least it might show him up for the poor keeper he really is, which is no consolation.

I like to see SWP supplying Adebayor, he does it well, which might shut the critics up who want to see him gone. Just hope Mancini doesn’t play him on the left where he is really ineffective.

Got a bad feeling about this game, hope the lads prove me totally wrong.

I’ve always got a bad feeling when city play lol! Think your being a bit harsh on Shay though. Although Hart is much better. Bridge!!!!! Aaaaaagh!

Got to put my hands up amd say Given’s distribution was better last night than usual, he was making an effort to justify his massive wages, although not sure Hart would have let all three goals in.
Having said all that, Shay looked like he wasn’t up to speed, which was to be expected I suppose.
My heart sank when I saw SWP wandering over to the left, I just don’t know why any manager puts him there, he just cannot play as a leftie, end of, which makes him look clumsy and hopeless, he should put his foot down and refuse to do it (ok I know that’ll never happen as he’s a team player and a nice guy!).
Looks like our “B” team needs some improving and gelling to get us where we want to be.
    Gutted.
