Confirmed CITY Team: NO Silva, De Jong – Dzeko, Milner START

11 Apr

Here is the Man City side to face Liverpool tonight. Mancini has opted to rest David Silva and Nigel de Jong, with James Milner and Edin Dzeko coming into the side. Gareth Barry also returns, with Mario Balotelli on the bench. Dedryck Boyata retains his place in the side.

Wembley is clearly in mind!

The bench is: Taylor, Zabaleta, McGivern, SWP, De Jong, Silva, Balotelli

On paper, they should be able to do equally a good job with out Silve and DeLong (I guess we will find out). My guts tell me the absence of David Silva and DeLong is going to be obvious though I do hope I am dead wrong and Mancini is right

We need a WIN here to put some distance between us and Spurs. My nerves can not take another toe-to-toe thriller with Spurs

Thank you Mancini for such a line up, what on-earth is going on your mind. First 12 minutes 3 shots from right where Nigel plays. That is what happens when you put your ball winner on the bench.

Thanks Mancini – I’m no expert but you probably don’t fuck about with a team that’s just won 5-0?!! Barry, Milner, Kolarov, Dzeko – not good enough.

Totally agree with Moonbean, just to add a further to the mix Lescott he was hopeless, we have no pace in the side especially on the left and with Korolov at full back that is going to scare the likes Nani and Valencia….I doubt…

Bring back Zabletta to left back, hopefully Micah may be fit for right back and move Boyatta to centre back and start the team with De Jong and Silva. If Tevez is not fit play 5 in midfield, De Jong, Silva, Johnson, Yaya and Milner, he is just quicker than Barry with Dzeko upfront, carn’t afford to risk Mario, last night he was subbed after coming on as a sub……nightmare!

So RM didn’t take Liverpool seriously at Anfield, did he not see what they did to the rags ? Crazy and very puzzling approach to any game let alone one of such importance to us, the team only arrived at the ground at 7pm ! If it’s any consolation most of our wins against the rags in recent years have followed shocking performances, this is City we’re talking about… keep the faith people. CTWD
