Hart - Couldnlt have done anything to prevent the goal and was otherwise a bystander. Everton barely attacked so Hart had very little to do - 6
Richards - Had the pace to limit Drenthe’s threat down Everton’s left and managed to advance on a couple of occasions. Shifted to centre-back for the final twenty minutes or so but that meant we lost his attacking bursts - 7
Kompany - Pleasing to see him back and he slotted in relatively well. Wasn’t involved a great deal but was there when necessary - 6.5
Lescott - Made one superb goalline clearance early on but the strength of Stracqualursi caused him the odd problem. Looked uncomfortable in possession and was substituted - 6
Clichy - Delivered a pair of enticing crosses in the first half and was one of our better options but could find the breakthrough. Moved across to right-back in the second and did well - 6.5
Barry - Struggled throughout to impose himself and found it a real battle to gain a foothold in the game. He was a yard off the pace all match, failing to provide any cutting edge with the passing. His form in the past month has dropped alarmingly - 5
Milner - One of the few to come out of the game with any credit and his substitution was baffling. Had looked sharp in midfield, his movement causing a few problems but was replaced as soon as Everton scored - 7
Nasri - Much more heavily involved than normal and it was purely down to his central role, rather than being stuck out on the wing. One superb shot was the highlights but his all round performance was promising. My man of the match - 7.5
Silva - Still not operating at his best which must be a concern for Mancini. Lively and the odd moment of brilliant interplay with Aguero but, like the rest of the team, couldn’t find a way through - 6.5
Aguero - Worked tirelessly in running the channels but it just wasn’t his night. Dragged one shot wide but didn’t get much change from either Hibbert or Heitinga - 6.5
Džeko - His confidence looks completely shot and he’s now resorted to shooting from ridiculous angles instead of passing to a better-placed teammate. Struggled to hold up the ball and bring other into play and ought to have won more aerial battles - 5
Subs
A. Johnson - One jinking run which forced a corner wasn’t enough of an impact. Given half an hour but continues to underwhelm - 6
Kolarov - With City pushing forward, he took up some promising attacking positions but couldn’t find a good enough cross - 6
De Jong – Replaced Barry for the last five minutes - No time to mark
Fair assessment, why Milner was taken off ahead of Barry is beyond me and I say that as a hgue Gareth Barry fan. As for Aleks, he had out best attempt with his cross which ended up being a shot! Nasri played well, great effort for the goal but overall lacked any penetration and teams are learning how to play against us now
Fair scores although i was a bit nicer to Silva and less so to Lescott. I agree about Gaz Baz and think he really needs a rest!
Whenever Johnson is substituted on, the work-rate is gone. I do not think he can cut it anymore. Milner’s substitution was a shocker and over-all plenty of possession with no penetration. I remember the last time Mancini admitted his fault, City had a great run after. Let’s hope that is the case.
Why is it that its always Dzeko, Micah, or Milner getting on the end of Silva’s through balls and never the one player that you want to see, Aguero. Also just have to mention Fellaini I thought he was fantastic last night easily man of the match for me, think he’d make a great signing.
