MAN CITY v Fulham – The PREVIEW: City’s Probable Team

18 Jan

Maicon and Micah Richards are both still missing with injuries, but Jack Rodwell is available once again, although he will not be match fit yet and may have to bide his time on the bench in the near future. Samir Nasri has served his three game suspension so is a contender to start, although James Milner’s excellent recent form down the right will give Roberto Mancini something to think about.

One possible option is to move Milner to a more central position, replacing Javi Garcia, with Nasri slotting in on the right. Further forward, Sergio Aguero is, thankfully, back fit but like Rodwell, won’t be 100% sharp and is expected to be named on the bench.

Paddy Power are offering new customers a FREE £25 bet! They have plenty of specials for City’s fixture against Fulham, with James Milner to score the first goal standing out at 12/1. David Silva to score first and the final result to be 3-1 is hugely tempting at 28/1. Click here to open an account and claim your FREE £25 bet!

Here is the side Mancini could select:

Referee: Jon Moss - New to the Premier League, he has only officiated one City match previously, that being earlier this season when we swept aside Aston Villa 5-0.

Prediction: MAN CITY 3 – 0 Fulham – The visitors have the potential to be a dangerous opponent but we should have more than enough quality to secure the three points. Goals to be scored by Edin Dzeko, Carlos Tevez and David Silva.

William Hill have some excellent odds for this match: Javi Garcia, such a threat from set-pieces, is 15/1 to score the first goal, whilst David Silva is a hugely tempting 7/1 to score the final goal.

The exact team I would pick but understand if we play the same side as against arsenal.

It would be tempting to pick Aguero but starting him on the bench is the safer way to go as we should have too much for Fulham anyway

Would love to see Milner in the middle with Nasri back in, as he was in form the 2 games before he got suspended and Milner deserves a go in his favoured position

Team selection is spot on!. I do hope Kompany scales back on his lunging tackles despite the fact he gets most of them right. At this moment, the risk of being wrongfully red-carded is much higher for lunging tackles irrespective of being a good or bad tackle.

If nasri is in the lineup we will win because he allways influences his teame mates to play well
