West Brom v MAN CITY – The PREVIEW: City’s Probable Team
3 Dec
After another convincing home victory, this time against Swansea, the challenge for Manuel Pellegrini and the players is to replicate the same desire and intensity on the road as City have recently displayed at the Etihad Stadium. Micah Richards and Aleks Kolarov will hope to feature in the fullback positions, while Vincent Kompany, after a lengthy absence, is on the verge of returning.
Of the front six, James Milner is an option to replace Jesus Navas if the manager decides to operate with a slightly more defensive outlook, while the possibility of Javi Garcia starting and Yaya Touré pushed into his advanced role isn’t one that should be ruled out.
Here is the side Pellegrini could select:
Referee: Chris Foy.
Prediction – West Brom 1 – 2 MAN CITY – It’s about time our away form sparkled and although the Baggies are tricky opponents, I’m backing the Blues to return to Manchester with the three points. Goals to be scored by Sergio Aguero, Alvaro Negredo and Shane Long.
Per Stu Brennan, Kompany is traveling with the team to WBA but not Silva or Jovetic. I hope the skipper will be starting!
Kompany should start if ready, other than that, why change the team?
No need to over-think it
