Aleks Kolarov is expected to replace Gael Clichy in the ever-changing left-back position, with the Serbian’s delivery in the final third likely to be a useful weapon against what is surely going to be a compact Crystal Palace defence. Javi Garcia will drop to the bench with Yaya Touré fit enough once again to take his place in the centre of midfield.
David Silva and Jesus Navas are both absent, the former possibly for the season, so Stevan Jovetic and James Milner are vying for one berth in an attacking role. Milner’s graft might get him the nod, but a personal feeling is that Jovetic’s trickery and ability to conjure something from nothing could be the way to go. Edin Dzeko and Alvaro Negredo are battling for a place up front alongside Sergio Aguero.

Prediction: Crystal Palace 1 - 2 MAN CITY – Our hosts may well be obdurate and stubborn, but should we apply ourselves – and that is something that has occasionally bee missing this season – we should have enough quality to break through. It is likely to be tight, tense and hard-fought but I’m swerving towards a narrow victory, with goals to be scored by Sergio Aguero, Stevan Jovetic and Cameron Jerome.

Everywhere you go the league is over & I mean everywere, there’s no escape from the masses with there crystal balls, I’m trying to have a sense of humuor about it.. Glenn, I feel your pain and this sudden mainstream media love-in with all things from the red half of Liverpool feels a bit heavy-handed.Don’t get me wrong, if LFC win the title it will be on merit of their current 11 game winning streak, which speaks for itself. But this notion that LFC is a long suffering club because they haven’t won the league since Alex Ferguson took the helm is a bit much, I guess those FA cup and UCL trophies don’t count for much. Should LFC win I will tip my hat to them. The cynical part of me feels that should LFC win the title that the mainstream media will feel that somehow this will right the wrong of the Hillsborough tragedy. I’m quite confident that LFC supporters will continue to seek justice no matter what the outcome. Rant over.
There was always a sympathy for Liverpool (at least in my country). I believe it is because a few years ago teams like chelsea, man city, paris saint germain and anzi did not exist. I mean new-wealthy teams. At that time, people chose the team to support given the great things that it has accomplished before. And Liverpool is one of them.
One extra point for them is that Liverpool fights against Man City and Chelsea who have the over-double badget than Liverpool and spend twice the money Liverpool gives every transfer period. So they want a win of heart and talent against money. This is a good point we have to admit. I am an Athletic Bilbao fan as for Spain matters but I want Atletico to win the league in order to break Real Madrid’s and Barcelona’s ”empire”. Atletico also fights with a roster of 13 players against the endless resources that Real and Barca have access to.
